Probably my favorite lake to fish, great cutthroat fishing if you know what you're doing with the occasional rainbow here and there. Be on the lookout for grizzlies, have seen several tracks up here over the years. Also the views up here are pretty awesome.
This campground has one outhouse and no water source. There might be ten fire rings spaced around the dam at weird spots for parking. This lake is really not pretty, it looks like an old quarry and there's just a generally weird vibe around the reservoir. But, I was here on Memorial Day weekend and only two other spots were taken, so if you want to get away from crowds this works. It's run by the tribe so you pay for camping by buying a tribal recreation permit on the reservation. Also, the trail for hiking East Saint Mary's Peak starts at the campsite on the north side of the dam so the campground is good for ESM hikers. I drove by the Twin Lakes Campground a little ways down the road and honestly that area looks a lot nicer.
